From 1 July 2012, the Migration Law was amended so that IELTS test results are now valid for 3 years for the purposes of Visa Applications with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Please note however, that for the purposes of some skills assessment authorities and some state sponsorship applications, IELTS test results may only be valid for 2 years.
